For two days in May 2015, the first-ever Saga Fest music and arts festival brought artists and other creative individuals from around the world to gather at Stokkseyrarsel farm. The festival promotes vulnerability, sustainability and transformation. I took part in the Saga Fest Artist Residency connected to the festival. This was my second visit to Iceland, and a good chance to explore those aspects of community-based art that I find especially interesting, such as connection to cultural identity and cultural heritage, empowerment and caring for ourselves and for our environment.
